In fact, the modern versions of the wood which have been kiln dried are even harder and more durable. Cedar makes an ideal material for a wooded area in a garden, for example, as it is resistant to moisture. Many gardens need a material which will give them a natural look, while at the same time remaining durable. This is what you will get with cedar flooring.
